Learn English
To learn English today is an important basis for anybody who wants to live and work in an international environment. Almost all international organizations, be it the UN, or any of the sub-organizations of the United Nations, most NGO's and certainly all large international corporations have decided on English as their 'lingua franca'; i.e. as the one common language in which all documents are prepared and international contacts are kept. For immigrants into the USA it's important to speak the language to help them integrate into the new culture and country, and especially for the kids to be able to understand what's happening in school. Learning English used to be very boring and not fun at all: Lists with hundreds of words to be learned by rote, boring texts to read and repeat, and often a teacher who did not really speak and especially pronounce the English words the way they were supposed to.
